September terrified me when I was a kid. I was always nervous about that first day of school wondering what my teacher would be like, who my classmates would be and whether or not there would be a test in the first week.
Now as an adult, I love my morning bike ride to The Studio seeing all the kids with their parents & nannies walking to school. Their backpacks are usually bigger than they are, but their smiles are the biggest of all.
Learning is such an amazing feeling. You could be doing something a certain way for the longest time and then one day you read an article, take a class, or even have an inspiring conversation with a friend and your whole perspective shifts.
As adults, it’s important never to get complacent for too long; by being set in our ways we close ourselves off to the world and snub our potential.
Open up to life. Get excited (*and maybe a little nervous) about something new. It won’t hurt. If anything it’ll make you stronger. Forever Learning.
