My Mantra for 2016: Integrate, Rejuvenate, Meditate and Cultivate

I am without words for what an incredible start I have had to 2016. Well not really – I always have plenty to say. But I am truly grateful and truly blessed to get this year off to an amazing start. There has been no stopping and no slowing me down since January 1st. All I can say is amazing things are happening, not only in my personal life but also at the food studio.

Of course I have had some goals to help me get here. But let’s just say that most of it has been about setting intentions and just straight up making things happen, sometimes even without thinking too much about it. However there are some core focuses that I am using to help build the strong foundation to what has already created an amazing year so far.  You can see in the title of this blog post I have used some specific words. Here is what they are and why.

Integrate. This year has been all about integrating everything I have learned, everything I am learning and taking all my platforms to a new level. I want to integrate more community into my personal and professional life. This will mean me going to greater depths with all the people in my life. Including my family, my friendships and of course my studio team and online community. Such a powerful word.

Rejuvenate. We can all use a little more of this. Since the start of the year, I have been really working hard to nurture and rejuvenate my body and my mind. I got really sick over the holidays and my body was working really hard against me. I just couldn’t seem to get better. Sore throat, fatigued, I tried everything I know and nothing worked. Since that experience, which took a lot out of me, I have been really trying to take time to nourish my body inside and out. I did a two day juice cleanse with Greenhouse Juice a couple weeks back and that was a great way to kickstart and reboot my system. I am also working on eliminating certain foods from my diet to rekindle my digestive fire (more on that to come), practicing yoga more regularly which is beyond rejuvenating. I am also focusing on drinking more tonic herbs, elixirs for adrenal support.

Meditate. My ongoing challenge. I am really working hard to make daily meditation a priority. Whether listening to a guided meditation, doing deep breathing, colouring or listening to music, we all need a little more of this. So this is a constant reminder for me to keep on point. Between using an app called Headspace and Inner Balance Trainer by HeartMath. I have made it my mission to take time for me to work on this daily. The evenings are usually best as that is when I have quiet time, however I would like to start doing this first thing in the morning to start my day.

Cultivate – Cultivating new things in my life has been a priority over the last several months. Whether it’s new relationships, working with new foods or just using my right brain. It’s been all about creation. I have been working hard on cultivating and creating new ideas, new concepts new programs especially when it comes to what happening here at the studio as well as with my podcast.

Here’s a bit of a run down of what’s happened this year so far..
