Any way you slice it, the option is yours!

You may have gotten one for your wedding, you may even have one tucked away in the basement – but if you haven’t used it yet, you are missing out on the power of a food processor.

I can honestly say that I have been using one for over 20 years. My mom taught me well! We always had one in our home growing up. Even though I have knife skills, as I was trained as a chef, there is nothing more efficient and helpful in the kitchen than a food processor.

It’s the tool of tools. However, I have not used one as robust as the Sous Chef 16 Peel and Dice. Honestly this is the rolls royce of food processors. There are so many blades and attachments – you better make room in your kitchen cupboard for this baby, as it’s fully loaded!

The best part about this is appliance, is that there is so much versatility, it can replace many of your current kitchen tools. It’s kind of like a one stop shop for food prep. If you like to meal plan like I do, then you are going to want to pull out this bad boy maybe once a week (like Sundays’) and make some batch meals.

One of my favourite batch meals is actually a slaw salad. Why I like this? It’s the perfect salad all year around as it lasts for days in the fridge. The best part is that you get a variety of veggies sliced up in one salad – making it so easy to get your veg servings in! It’s also that kind of “simple” salad that you can pretty much enjoy it with anything. Such as with eggs in a wrap, alongside chicken and sweet potatoes, with hummus and avocado or with grain-free crackers and soup. The options are endless!

CRISPY COLE SLAW SALAD

1/2 head of green or purple cabbage

4 large carrots

2 beets

1 fennel (optional)

1 onion

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tsp sea salt

  1. Shred all your veggies in your food processor.
  2. Place in a large bowl
  3. Mix oil and vinegar and toss into slow until well mixed.
  4. Allow it to marinate for 30 minutes up to 1 day.

Whether you want to slice, dice, grate, peel or shred this machine does it all. The option is yours.
