We like to be very organized here at the Studio and so our Pull Out Pantry is
definitely a Staff Favourite. Our pantry is accessible from both sides, which makes it easy to reach ingredients. The pantry allows us to categorize our food. Every shelf holds food that complements one another. Since we love smoothies so much here at the Studio, our top shelf holds all of our Superfoods (mostly Navitas Naturals), so in the morning or afternoon we simply grab goodies from the top shelf and throw them in the blender!Today we took Superfoods from the Pull-Out Pantry’s Top Shelf and made Superfood Truffles. You will find the recipe below, but if you’d like to see the recipe being made live, join us for our Open House to see Marni make them herself. And of course, you will get to sample them as well.

Mesquite may sound a little exotic, but I like to compare it to carob. It gives a rich nutty flavour, plus it is loaded with nutrients and helps to balance blood sugar. You can use anything you want inside these truffles. Just pick from wholesome raw and organic ingredients. It is best to use dates to stick them together and then throw in goodies like nuts, seeds, goji berries, cacao and super powders (maca, mesquite, cacao, lacuma) which would make them chewy, crunchy, sweet, bitter and scrumptious all at the same time!
