Loving my eco casual, yet professional style!

When it comes to fashion, I have always opted for the comfy and sporty look. As I have evolved, so has my style. Still in keeping with being comfortable, I want to wear things that I feel good in, suit my body and my daily activities. Since my days now are all over the place with teaching cooking classes, doing workshops, working during the day at the studio, being on television or other events – I need outfits that are presentable, professional while still being casually comfortable.

Different from most girls, I actually don’t like shopping. Don’t get me wrong, I love new things and re-stocking my closet with everything from pants to tops, jeans and tanks but the act of going to the store, mall even shopping online is not how I want to spend my time. I would rather someone do it for me or go somewhere that is a one stop shop that covers all of my needs.

I would also rather have a few great pieces that can be worn in different ways in different combinations. I have realized over the years, after spending thousands of dollars on clothing, that less is more. It’s about mixing and matching the right combos to make fun outfits. Even with a full closet of clothes, I am sure most of you can relate, we tend to wear the same things over and over. Sometimes it just about finding the right store, or right person to help you maximize your clothing so that you can get the most out of a few key pieces for each season. Or even if its just your go – to store for clothing you know you are going to love year round.

I am lucky that Toronto has an incredible little boutique called Logan and Finley down on Queen west. Not only does it specialize in Eco and sustainable clothing but the store is so much more. You can get eco gifts such as bags, candles, water bottles, bedding and even organic skin care. It’s an all around one stop shop. Over the last couple of years I have narrowed down my shopping choices immensely to pretty much Logan and Finely and Lulu lemon. Which makes shopping so easy. When I do shop, I tend to stock up for the season so I don’t have to make multiple trips.

After a recent visit downtown I got loaded up with some great new outfits that I am just simply in love with! Here are some of the wears that I have been sporting.

Wearing a Miik Purple Top that is long enough to wear with leggings. I am sporting black Miik leggings as well. I must not forget my stunning Rocking Vibe necklace dangling from my neck.

Hard to totally see here, but I am wearing a Miik black top with a  white collar, an adorable local necklace piece and Prana pants. Which are so comfortable it’s insane. They are jeans, but they are not.

Sporting a Miik grey soft blazer which is amazing. It’s not stiff, but rather moves with me and I feel like I am wearing a sweatshirt. In addition I have on a Miik black skirt and black leggings.

Everything you see here can be purchased at Logan and Finley. Just talk to Julie – she will welcome you into her store and help you walk out of there a new person, but still feeling like yourself.
